Extensive career in social work spans diverse settings, from serving as a case manager in foster care to assuming the role of a clinical supervisor, as well as inpatient and outpatient medical social work and behavioral health.

In 2011, established a private practice, driven by a passion to enhance the psychosocial well-being of individuals, couples, and families. Recognizing the heightened demand for culturally aware, evidence-based, yet holistic mental health services during the pandemic, she took a bold step by incorporating her practice, Seed and Harvest Counseling Services, LLC, in 2020. Shonda Conyers is committed to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to address the evolving mental health needs of her community. Seeding hope and resilience, Shonda Conyers is dedicated to nurturing mental health through personalized care and evidence-based practices. to assist clients in the development of the necessary skills to navigate the stressors of everyday life through the Compassionate Development of one’s own strengths for Healing. She holds a BSW from Howard University with a minor in Sociology 1993, MSW from University of Maryland with a concentration in Children and Family 1994 and has been a LCSW-C for the state of MD since 1997. Additional certifications include Mental Health First Aid Trainer for Children and Adults, Certified ACE (Adverse Childhood Experiences) Master Presenter with the Family Tree of Maryland, a Certified Trauma Therapist through the University of Maryland, as well as a certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace from University of South Florida

Candace’s specialties include Children and Adolescents, Adults, Families, and Couples Counseling covering issues such as Anger Management, ADHD, Development Disorders, Emotional Disturbance, Learning Disabilities, Mood Disorders, Anxiety, Depression, Family Discord, Relationship Issues, School Issues, Peer Relationships, Self Esteem, Coping Skills Development, Women’s Issues, Adoption and Foster Care, EAP services, and Critical Incident Stress Debriefings. Candace also moonlights in The Psychiatric Emergency Room At Johns Hopkins Bayview Hospital as a Psych Evaluator 2-3 times month as well. Her experience is drawn from a variety of vocations to include but not limited to both medical and behavioral health care settings such as offices, hospitals, schools, local and federal government agencies, crisis hotlines, and managed care organizations.

Tierra is currently pursuing her Doctor of Social Work with a focus on Impact Leadership in
Social Work Administration at Walden University. She is active in the community volunteering
her time to support children and families. Prayer and self-care are her “super powers” for
maintaining her own mental health and wellbeing in order to be of service to others and her
community.

Tierra is a sought-after speaker, trainer, and culture and climate consultant providing training and professional development locally and internationally. Most recently, Tierra has worked with the NFL Player Association, the National Association of Social Workers, the Jamaica Diaspora Behavioral and Mental Health Task Force and the Jamaica Diaspora Worldwide Educational Task Force. She is the co-Director of Keys of Hope Consultants, LLC and co-creator of Sanity in the Sanctuary Faith Based Mental Health Initiative.
